A Louisa County application for employment is required for all county vacancies. The application includes the Application for Employment Form, a record keeping form (not maintained with the application) and an Authorization for Criminal History Background Investigation form (not maintained with the application unless applicant is being considered for the position). Resumes may be attached but may not be substituted for an application. In order to be considered for a position, applications must be received by the deadline date. Faxed or e-mailed applications are acceptable in order to meet the deadline. However, faxed or e-mailed applications must be followed immediately by a signed application form. Please note the exact title for the position(s) when completing your application. Application forms are available to download or you may contact us by e-mail at HR @ louisa.org or call 540 967-0401 with your postal address and we will mail one to you.
Unless otherwise specified, jobs will remain open until filled. EOE
Be patient; the application is a fairly large file (690kb) and will open in your browser where it's easy to fill out; just use the tab key to get from field to field. When it is complete, just attach it to an email and send it to HR @ louisa.org, or fax to (540) 967-3411 and be sure to follow up with a hard copy with original signature either by dropping it off at 1 Woolfolk Avenue in Louisa or mail to the address above. The Civil Rights Act of 1964 prohibits discrimination in employment because of race, color, religion, sex or national origin. Federal law also prohibits other types of discrimination such as age, citizenship, disability, veteran status, attainment of benefits, and participation in union activities. The laws of most states and many localities also prohibit some or all of the above types of discrimination as well as some additional types including, but not limited to, discrimination based upon ancestry, marital status, parental status, sexual orientation, or source of income. The Fair Credit Reporting Act imposes restrictions with respect to credit data. This list, however, is not exhaustive of the grounds on which discrimination is prohibited. |
