Agricultural
and Forestal District Advisory Committee
Agricultural and Forestal Districts, which were created
in 1991, provide a means by which local governments can respond to the requests
of landowners to protect and enhance agricultural and forestal land. This
committee, in conjunction with the Planning Commission reviews and makes
recommendations on all proposals to create, modify or terminate these
districts.

Viewers
This Board reviews requests from citizens in which
they would like a particular road throughout the County to be considered as a
new addition into the Secondary System of the State Highways. This Board
reviews the road and gives their report to the Board of Supervisors and after
consideration the Board makes their request to the Virginia Department of
Highways.

Clean
Community Commission
This Commission has members representing each
district. The Commission serves as a communications link between county
government and those citizens and/or organizations that have expressed an
interest in reducing our litter problems. The Commission’s primary purpose
would be that of evaluating our litter problems and making recommendations
concerning innovative projects that could contribute to reducing litter and
littering and reflect favorably upon the image of Louisa County. You may reach

The Commission on Aging sponsors the Older Americans
Day celebration, Elderfest, and a Christmas Luncheon for seniors. Three days a
week, the Commission operates the Senior Center at the Betty J. Queen
Intergenerational Center, and they also publish a directory so that seniors
know where to get certain services.

Community Policy Management Team (CPMT)
The Comprehensive Services Act requires that each
local government, or combination of governments, establish a Community Policy
and Management Team to coordinate, agency efforts, manage available funds from
the State Pool Fund and ensure that eligible youths receive access to services.
The governing body of each single jurisdiction district and the governing
bodies of each multi-jurisdictional district must appoint a Community Policy
and Management Team, which has the responsibility of implementing the
requirements of the Comprehensive Services Act, including the expenditure of
funds appropriated by the localities and allocated by the State. (Code of
Virginia, Section 2.2-5204 through 2.2-5206)
