Ashley Davenport
Assistant Commonwealth's Attorney
Ashley graduated from T. C. Williams School of Law in 2003 after earning a B.A. degree in Political Science from James Madison University. Ashley's expertise lies in the Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court. She began working at Chesterfield Commonwealth's Attorney's Office Juvenile and Domestic division after graduating high school and continued to work as secretarial support throughout college. During law school Ashley clerked at a small Chesterfield law firm, Cowan & Owen, P.C., where she took her first job after earning a J.D. degree. After a few years, she realized that her true passion was in prosecution. Ashley began to prosecute in the City of Richmond in July 2005. She has prosecuted numerous juvenile felony and misdemeanors, crimes of domestic violence, sex crimes and other crimes against juveniles.
