Virginia Ranked No. 4 for Best Business Climate

Virginia has one of the top 10 best business climates for capital investment, according to Site Selection magazine. The magazine, which focuses on economic development and is published by Atlanta-based Conway Data Inc., ranks the states annually.

In 2011, Virginia has the fourth-best business climate in the nation. Texas is ranked first, followed by Georgia, North Carolina, Virginia and South Carolina.

The rankings are based on criteria such as tax rates. Corporate real estate executives are also surveyed and asked to rank states based on factors like government, workforce, incentives and land availability.
